School Coordinator
Job Description
The School Coordinator ensures smooth academic and administrative functioning of the school by coordinating between management, teachers, students, and parents. The role focuses on academic planning, teacher support, discipline, communication, and implementation of school policies.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Coordination
- Coordinate day-to-day academic activities across classes and departments
- Support teachers in lesson planning, curriculum execution, and assessments
- Monitor syllabus completion and academic calendars
- Assist in implementing innovative teaching practices and NEP guidelines
- Observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback to teachers
Teacher Management
- Act as a link between teachers and school management
- Help in teacher orientation, mentoring, and professional development
- Maintain teacher attendance, substitution planning, and workload balance
- Support appraisal and performance review processes
Student Management
- Oversee student discipline and well-being
- Handle student grievances and behavioral issues sensitively
- Coordinate academic support for students when required
- Ensure safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Parent Coordination
- Communicate academic updates, circulars, and school policies to parents
- Handle parent queries and concerns professionally
- Coordinate Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and feedback collection
Administrative Support
- Assist the Principal in academic planning and school operations
- Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate examinations, assessments, and result compilation
- Support school events, assemblies, workshops, and activities
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to board norms (CBSE / ICSE / State Board)
- Support audits, inspections, and documentation requirements
- Prepare academic reports and presentations for management
Required Qualifications
- Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree (Education preferred)
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience
- Prior experience as Academic Coordinator / Senior Teacher is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Excellent communication (English & Hindi preferred)
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of curriculum frameworks and assessment practices
- Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace / School ERP
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
